A library of Things to Borrow

Things in Common

sharing saves you money - sharing saves you space - sharing protects the environment

A Library of Things in Islington

Things in Common runs a library of things in Islington. For a small monthly fee we help people by lending things that save money and saves space. We think that sharing things is a great way to make resources go further and reduce our environmental impact. We are a voluntary led organisation and dependent upon people giving their time. Residents of Clarion and Peabody homes can join for FREE.

How Does it Work

After you register you can view items to borrow on our inventory section of the website. There you can reserve your items. If things are on site you can borrow them straight away! Our stock of things to lend are held in our kiosk which has smart locks. You will receive a PIN number for the locks. The PIN number is unique to you, and different for each of the lockers. Inside the lockers are the tools and equipment that you can borrow. Use your PIN number to return them ready for the next user. We don't charge a deposit, but we do require a card to registered
